buc-ees and more

If you haven't been to Buc-ee's yet, stop.
It's worth the experience!

And we're back.  Gale winds blowing but still
a beautiful sight!
My new rock garden.
When surrounded by rocks, plant them!

Even from a "mushroom"!

Hopefully more to come, even some crafting!
Happy June!

mushrooms and more.

this one is about 3 inches tall.  the base is actually 4 dollar tree jenga blocks glued together.

the base for this is 6 tongue depressors.
the hanger is a pop top ring.

and this is on a very old chipboard base.
how old?? I bought it at Scrapbook Zone.

All the the mushrooms were made with air dry terra cotta clay.  The molds from IOD.
I am addicted to these.
They were painted white then I used Distress Oxide inks and a water brush to add color.
The shine comes from Clear Nuvo Crystal Drops.

these little pockets are scrap busters! I put them on a notebook ring  and

created a little journal of sorts.

and then I  made some for little holders.
I added a dyed paper signature in  the left fold, too.

just a few little folders, really trying to use scraps!

and another accordian folder with tags and signatures.
maybe a class is developing for Michigan.......

and these!!
if you like to make your own word stamps, they are perfect.
Use a coupon at Michaels.
And, you better like putting things together after taking them apart!

Lots of pictures, I know.  I had to get out of a fog and just started making, making, making.

punching away!

Easter cards for grandkids.  I never thought I would use a whole package of googly eyes and yet they are almost gone!

circle, leaf and bee punches for the chicks. The bee punch is upside down and on the top of the chick heads. The pot is made like an easel so it stands up and the Hey Peeps card pulls out for the message.

And the bunny card is circles.  Cut a small piece off the bottom of the body and glue to make feet.  Then he can stand up.  Ears are parts of circle punched out of the side of the circle.

Too much fun!!

Easter crafts today

A few fun crafts were finished up in the craft room today while waiting for the bracket announcements.
One thing we know for sure - MSU will be winning at least one game.  That is a given on Thursday.
Okay, Coach Dantonio said that when Michigan State played Mississippi State in football.
It will hold true this week too.

And onto the crafts.

Directions for these and more can be found at Qbee'sQuest.com
Last year I made shamrocks and flowers.

And these cuties were quick and fun!
I copied a Peeps pattern from images, cut them from felt and stitched them up.
Added the face before stitching and gave them some soft stuffing.
I will start a pink bunny tomorrow.

Hope you are getting some craft time in this month.

Happy New Freezing Cold Year!!

Snow!  Yes, Snow.  Here. Yesterday.  Out my window.

Okay, it didn't stick or anything and only lasted a few minutes but it was SNOW!

It's been a cold start to 2024.  I mean hi temps in the low 50's and wind.

The sun it out and it helps but it is still cold.  I am glad I kept our winter clothes:  coats, hats, mittens, gloves......

Hopefully it will only last another week before Spring arrives here in Tucson.

I have been keeping myself busy.

made with the scraps from the little journal above.

getting ready for the next holiday.

More to come!
Hope you are staying warm and dry where ever you are.
