all day today and tomorrow.  rain, rain, rain, flooding rain.....
dark skies, fog rolling over.  the mountains have disappeared.
rain, rain, rain......different.
it's not cold.  it is just rain, rain, rain.....

dancing in the sky

We live very close to an Air Force base, an International Airport, and a National Guard Base.
The night sky has been filled with Fighter Jets.
At dusk it was very difficult to see them but there is no doubt they are up there, the sound gives them away.
As the sky darkens you begin to see them, the lights of white, green and red flying through the dark sky, against the stars and moon.  They zoom at incredible speeds and the sounds they leave behind are earth shaking.

We have not seen them before at night,as least for the hours they have been there tonight.
Are they dancing in the night, getting ready for the Superbowl?  Practicing their moves, dips and turns?

We have been warned that they will be practicing their "Interception" flight plans tomorrow.  Maybe they are getting an early start tonight.

It may be 10 minutes "as the fighter jet flies" from here to Phoenix!

They are beautiful against both the bright blue skies of day and the dark, star lit skies of night.  I never thought I would think that Fighter Jets could be so breath taking.........

things I have been doing......

I started off the new year with some cards using distress inks and dies.

This sweater is perfect for the weather here, but it had a logo so I used a die and some fabric to cover it up.  I wore it all day yesterday.  It's perfect and a little vintage.   It is a Stephanie Ackerman flower die.

I never meant to be away so long.  I can't even say what happened.
Nothing happened, really.  I just got lazy and started procrastinating.  Oh I will do that in a little bit.  Oh, I will get to that.  Oh, I will write tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow........

I have some pictures to load and then i will be back.  Sooner than later.

love the wendi vecchi embossing powders/enamels.  they are so thick and shiny.
love Tucson:  sorry to all my friends back home but it is still 73 degrees at 5:30pm, a duplicate of yesterday!

I promised myself I would not talk about the weather, especially the "winter" weather so that won't happen too often.

more will follow.....I have pictures to show and a couple of projects in the making.  Lately I have been starting but not completing.  Hopefully, that will change!

I started (and finished a few)  some new projects today.

I will have pictures of them in the next few days:  a card for the new year and a little booklet.

And I am almost finished with the Christmas pocket book I started a few weeks ago.  There will also be some pictures of that, too.
