what would you do???
Imagine......you are die cutting and embossing paper for 12 card kits. Each kit has 4 cards and each card has at least 4 dies. Two cards also have embossed paper.....
As you are working, your husband says......sounds like you need a new machine......better get it before that one stops working....
and now the question: what would you do?
More tomorrow!

ideas....
a little stamping can really change the look of things.
And if you wondered how Vintage Distress Medium changes things, take a look....one coat applied.
top right and the bottom atc are the same before and after applying the distress medium.
And adding more will make it darker.....the brush strokes stay, too, which adds to the vintage look.
stay warm and craft!!

half box/full box step cards
full box: 7 1/2 x 12 cardstock
half box: 4 1/2 x 12 cardstock
(oh.....you can make one of each from one sheet!!)
score both directions @ 1 1/2 inches to the end
cut out squares with "X" for full box and cut on the folds (dark marks)
cut out squares shown and cut on the folds for the half box
(sorry, this is going in the opposite direction)
notice the middle square remains for the full box and the same square becomes the tallest part of the half box.....(hope that makes sense)
connect the bottom together with a hinge: 1 x 7 1/2 (full) 1 x 4 1/2 (half) scored @ 1/2 on the long side
glue the folded edge of hinge to the bottom, add adhesive to the other side of hinge and close the box
glue the remaining boxes together to create the steps (audition first).
**make sure to glue in the same direction for a cleaner look
add squares:
17 for the full and 11 for the half
decorate front, top and back (but not the bottom!)
they do go together pretty quickly and all the squares/embellishments are scraps!
and they fold flat for mailing!!!
hope it all makes sense!

update!!! want to use an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet.....cut to 6 1/4 x 10 and score @ 1 1/4 both ways!
I'll be back with the finished card soon!

Spring Farmhouse by Prima
I finally broke down and ordered the A4 paper pad. Okay, I had to order two! I don't want to run out.
The designs are beautiful and, not being a fan of foil, I got this size instead of the 12 x 12 papers.
However, I did add the cut aparts in the 12 x 12 size. Okay I got two of these, too!
Check it out, and see if you can walk away from it!
While you're checking it out, take a look at the Poetic Rose collection, too. That one is also haunting me......I have the Georgia Blues A4 pad but won't use it........yet.
Watch for projects soon....
oh, I order from Scrapbook.com
discounted prices, fast delivery, lots of product
but always shop your local scrapbook store first!!

no snow here
despite several places here in Tucson reporting snow, we had none at our house, probably because we are in a little protected circle of mountains.
it has been pretty cold, as least by southwest standards.....
January Card Kits are complete and should be on their way today. Thanks to all who ordered.
If you are interested in a February Kit and haven't ordered, now is the time to do that!
here are a few projects I have been working on.....
finished ATC coins....
