this is not my favorite time of year.
I should be back sometime after the new year.
If anything creative happens before then I will let you know.

here are a few samples from the past......
Here's a little (4 x 6) little pocket trifold.
a little practice with paper before I try it with felt ! Lawn Fawn's Acorn House die set. |
did a lot of paper scrap pruging, too. |
went through my cards and found a lot of Thanksgiving themed creations |
25 to be exact - sending them out instead of Christmas cards this year. |
Only in Tucson will you find Javalinas ( protected under the law) walking down the street and eating up pumpkins. They are not usually downtown so this was even stranger! |
and then came upon this group dancing to Boogey Woogey Bugle Boy in front of a Vintage Ice Cream Parlor. 3 Vintage cars were parked in the lot too. It's good to be back! |
yep, I ordered the new Prima Fall and Christmas papers! couldn't resist - I had them in my shopping cart for almost 3 weeks! Added a cute die set too but it's a secret! and a stamp set from the Peaceful collection by Jen Hatfield.
Can't believe it is already the 2nd week of September. Tucson bound the first week of October.....and back to crafting again!
yippee!
no art to share but.....
we've been having big storms here.
tomatoes are ripe for the eating and so is the corn. we are living in Michigan farmland and reaping the benefits.
there are vegetable stands on the road - the kind where they are stocked with all sorts of things - tomatoes, corn, zucchini, squash, peppers, onions...... and a jar for payment. gotta love the trust!
Lyme disease stuck here - those are some nasty ticks in the grass. Luckily meds are taking care of the rash and fatigue. And, as a result, the delay in ordering wood was a good thing - the price came way down!
always look for something good, right?
so this is what I was expecting all summer up north: waking up to temps in the 50's, sunny skies and the hi temp 74 later today.
what was I thinking???
it is a beautiful day here in Au Gres.
have you seen the new Holiday papers by Prima?
How about simple stories: cozy days?
Or any of their "Vintage" lines? Lemon Twist is a fun collection, too.
My shopping cart is getting pretty full this week - almost time to place that order!
well, I never got to the scrapbook store. it was raining sooooo hard that day, the freeway was covered. and when we finally got off, the roads were all flooded. we've been through lots of rain before but that was just horrible!
and now I'm working to a few different "crafts".....
rain all day, all night.....
and then a toad in the kitchen? come on, really??
but a walk on the beach during a break in the rain helps a lot
RAIN!!
when you haven't seen it in a long time it sure gets old fast...enough already.
I'm afraid to get any crafting supplies out - the paper will warp.....the glue won't dry......
......the refrigerator, especially on a looooong holiday weekend.
roughing it with a styrofoam cooler and bags of ice. luckily the gas station is very close by and is open over the holiday. in this small town everything closes for today and tomorrow.
our new view! what do you think?
just a short 3 minute walk away.
when its as hot as it is here in Tucson - triple digits - this is the only kind of baking to do....
