not too happy with the Tim Holtz Halloween or Christmas things this year.......as a matter of fact, I'm disappointed.....
oh well,  it happens.

I stared at this project long enough......obviously staring doesn't punch the holes or sew in the papers
so I said....."it's only paper, what horrible thing can happen?"

it turned out pretty good.  Nothing fancy, just scraps I have been saving.
I did try a lot of new techniques and really like the way they turned out.  That was so much fun I will begin another.
I think it's gonna be a class in November.  So start saving scraps of your favorite papers that are too pretty to toss!

what's on my desk....

switched directions a little bit this week.
I started my first Junk Journal and hope to finish it up today.
The signature (just one - maybe 28 pages total) is in order and the cover is almost complete.

I hope to add the stitching to the cover today and sew in the signature. 
Oh, I dyed several things with avacado which gave off a soft pink hue.  You'll see soon!

And, I added some embellishments to an older purse...

and, finally, I created a paper purse - the perfect size for gifting lots!

It's cooling off here at least this week.  First time in months it was in the 60's when I got up!

september is national sewing month and today happens to be hand stitching day.
it's also college football day here!

hot days - hot nights!

created some cooler projects but it didn't help with the weather.
did get a big storm with lots of wind the other night - knocked down some big branches.  luckily it just made a mess - no damage to anything and it added to our fire kindling.

a December Daily little pocket/flip album.  no dates to worry about, just provides tuck spots for memories and/or photos of the holiday season.

 used one sheet of 12 x 12 for the base.  everything else was from the scrap bin.  you may recognise a few of the papers from past classes.  there's no more now, which I love!!

a little paperbag gratitude journal.  again used up a lot of scraps and the paperbags were already here too.

lots of places for blessings, memories and love....

and working on a halloween frame card......trying to get the haunted house to fit.

and the storm damage -  which is already gone!  hoping for another today - storm that is!

somebody I know likes pigs and do you believe it???
not only did I have a pig stamp (1993 - All Night Media) but I knew right where it was!!!
add some scrap papers and a picket fence and I was all set.

done and in the mail!!

while going through the scrap paper bin I got another idea.....
