rain came in around 5pm and stayed most of the evening
super moon moved in and out of the clouds (mostly out)
saw 2 rattlesnakes while running

made a deal to unpack kitchen and clothes before crafts..........
(I'm just about done with that!)

expect more here later next week, after all Halloween is on it's way - just in case you haven't been anywhere to see.......

And, it was great to see everyone at Scrappy Chic.  Thanks so much for all of your support and friendships.
It was good to create, laugh and share with all of you!

what happened to summer today?

tonight felt like the perfect "sit out by the fire and roast some marshmallows" night.

the start of school.......leaves turning colors.........pumpkins dotting doorsteps........
scarecrows dancing ............yikes!!

I am having a difficult time believing it is August 20 already.
I hope you are enjoying these last, lazy days of summer.  I know I am.

Watch for some new projects here in September.  The end of summer means the beginning of Autumn and planning those handmade gifts for the holidays.
I have some ideas for projects you make and ideas for others you can purchase, already made by me.

Time to Flourish October

Hi there!

I just wanted to let you know the October Time to Flourish Cards Tutorial is ready for purchase!

It was a little nerve racking.  I had it just about finished when I hit a wrong key and thought I had lost everything.  Jeff came to the rescue and restored everything for me!

So without further ado..........

 
Four great Halloween/Autumn cards using papers from the 8 x 8 Time to Flourish paper pad collection, a few blank white cards, a piece of embroidery floss or ribbon, distress ink and glitter!

step by step instructions and pictures, too, all for only $8.

Card instructions for all of the previous months are available, too.  Just scroll down to see sample pictures.
Just send me an email or comment here if you are interested.  Don't wait too long though, this paper pad may be gone from stores soon.

November ideas are sketched but will not be available for a few weeks.  As you may know, I am going on a little trip back to Michigan and on top of that we are moving to a new house here in Tucson.  I will leave from one house and return to another.  At least that is the plan for now!
Everything is getting packed up.  It's funny what you keep for the last box so you can still craft a little each day.......

a mini piano hinge pocket book,  another journal from one sheet of paper and a fun party cracker that can be filled with goodies.  I sent these to our kids filled with candy for Easter -  just the right size!

It's official!!

Make -a- Longs at Scrappy Chic
Monday, August 24
3pm - 7pm

Examples and directions are provided for several mini projects.
Each takes one hour or less to make.
You provide the supplies (the generic list and supplies for each project will be posted here soon)
cost $5 total!

Arrive when you can, make what you want, have fun and create!
