happy new year!

our plan:  eat food and watch CNN with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.  They have been very entertaining the past few years.

and I do have things to post - finally - so stop back soon.

so easy to make!  they were a big hit, too. Google toilet roll/yarn hats.  I made a bunch and set them on the picket fence.

and, our 2021 New Year card - sometimes you need a few to send...

Happy New Year my friends.  Lets hope we can get together in the new year.

Whats happening here.

decorations for the outside trees

I think they are date pods.  I find them everywhere, so I painted them, added glitter and an acrylic protective coating.  Tied some fising line to them and will hang them outside this afternoon.

And our inside tree.  these little angels are so easy to make and I had everything I needed from the large beads to the stained copy paper.   The large ones take one sheet of paper and the smaller ones take 1/2 sheet.  You can make them any size but copy paper is the best weight.  Don't even need a scoreboard.

Found this car and one reason we didn't bring our cat with us.  It actually looks just like Ralph.

Check back later for an adorable card - maybe my best for a little guy.

Time to stir the Chex Mix!

online shopping

this online shopping drains me.  I can only do one or two a day...especially when they all have to be shipped to different addresses.  anyone else feeling the same way or is there a trick I don't know about?

touble in tucson!!

oh no, my phone/camera stopped working so I can't post pictures today.

I've been making paper angels - the kind made from accordion folded coffee stained paper.

They will hang outside on our tree by the sidewalk.  I may post a little "free" sign, too.

And, I am going to sell most of my altered books from the past.  They were so much fun to make but it is time to pass them on to others.  That may provide a spark for me to make more.

Beautiful day here today after waking up to 38 degrees this morning.  The sun is should be shining for about another 45 minutes and in a little over an hour, it will be pretty dark and cold again.

Could be time for another Hallmark movie.

Stay safe and warm my friends.

glittered!

a little messy but what a shine.  I've had this robin's egg glass glitter for 5 years and finally got to use it!  learned a few things and will definately try some touch ups to this fun design.
Used  Martha Stewart's crytsal fine glitter on the white parts.  And Multi matte medium for the glue.

A great thing about glass glitter - it doesn't stick to you - no static!

time for the Henry Ford vitual  Tree Lighting Ceremony.  One of the first times we aren't actually there but we are hopeful for better times ahead.

these could be addicting........

first attempt at a log cabin using what I have.  too much fun.  oh, its sitting on a little battery operated tealight.

painted the corrogated paper (originally white) with a green "tin" roof.  roughed up some acetate with a nail file for the windows.

if you don't see any posts for a while, you know what I'm doing!

our friend lives in a cabin up north, just like this one.
