I know it's early but......Christmas ideas are spinning in my head with this.

Tucson Street Fair

The Outdoor festival season is winding down here.  Believe it or not, this is one of the last festivals of the season until September due to HEAT!

One street with tents that go on and on (15 blocks with more down the side streets, too).

lots of people and the sign does say Kettle Corn!

the beginning from the street car stop

that's me on the left.

the way home- a packed car

Jeff's favorite booth!

It was lots of fun.

And I will leave you with a teaser.  A package was waiting for me when I arrived home so I was able to continue ........watch for these to go on sale here in a few days.  This one, though is on it's way to someone special.

 bye,
margie

oh no!!

my crafting has come to a complete halt.  I have used up all of my matte multi medium!  I never thought this would happen.  And my order won't be arriving until Saturday!  Luckily, my deadlines and orders have a little time left.

what to do.....what to do......
here is a cute project, perfect for Mothers Day, Easter or Spring.  Just change up the papers!

Start with 2 sheets of cardstock 11 x 5.
score both at 5 and 8
With the 5 inch panels at each end, join the 3 inch panels by overlapping them and gluing together.
Re-fold accordion style with the first fold a mountain fold.

decorate each panel.  I used decorative paper cut 1/4 inch smaller.  And added a strip of cardstock that matched the base to each section.  I then used some die cuts and stamping.
The final embellishments were flowers cut from the tattered florals sizzlet die.  Once they were cut I spritzed them with water and scrunched them up.  Once they were dry, I carefully un-scrunched them, layered smaller ones on top of the larger ones, added some distress ink and glued them down.  This is a great way to make flowers.  I put a dot on W. Vecchi black enamel in each flower center and let this dry.

I got out my WeR envelope maker and made an envelope sized 5 1/2 x 7 1/2, added a score line to give the envelope some depth and placed the folded decoration inside , ready to be given to someone special.

Fun, relatively quick and a cute card/gift.  I think I will make another one now!
see you later.

Spartans Will!

Boy, we got sucked into the Basketball frenzy this past week. I didn't expect to be so involved in that and that alone!  And, it will be starting again soon.
The good news is I can't just watch, I get too nervous, so I have several projects started or finished that I will be posting soon!

Watch for them today, tomorrow and through out the rest of the week..........

add some color with the pencil

then use your paint brush to spread the color around.  Try to get some color variation as you go.

Move to another spot and do it again.

Make sure your new spot is not next to the first one or they will bleed into each other.

March is Craft Month

Hi Everyone!

Here is  a little project to celebrate craft month!

this card folds almost flat to 4 x 6 .

Here's how:
one piece cardstock 6 x 12
score @ 2, 4, 8 10 to create 5 panels.

to make the diagonal crease fold the score @4 back to the score @ 2.  Then fold the score @ 6 to the score @ 8.  Do this at both ends and then fold these ncw creases back a forth.
