crafting....

Well, these are addicting!

look around your house. I bet you have skewers, empty spools, some paper scraps and a hole punch (I used my crop -o -dile).

and a handy tip to pass along......
put an eyelet behind the brad when making drawer handles.  it makes it soooo much easier to open. don't actually set the eyelet, just use it as a spacer.  slide the brad arms through it then go through the drawer front.

All of the projects were started, now they are finished and on their way to someone.  I have soooo many unfinished things here.  It feels good to finally get some done!!

day 4

brrrrr.....cold here today.  winter coats, hats and gloves.  okay not like Michigan cold but here anything
 below 60 is wintry!

today's make is a little 3 x 4 journal

cover

it started out as a panel from a 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper
the 4th panel was folded behind the 3rd and cut on a diagonal to
create a pocket
a signature was added

vellum cover over the signature

and the pocket filled with a few tags

used:
paper strip, vellum, tags, ribbon, stickers, buttons, wings

some of this stuff is OLD!!!

It feels good to finally use it!

see you tomorrow.

Nov 2 gratitude gifts.

used up a sheet of paper and lots of odds and ends for these....

little pocket journals

inside left pocket

inside right pocket

you can make one, too.
one piece 6 x 12
fold right side over about 1 1/2 " and notch

fold left side over about 1/3 of the way
cut from fold to edge on an angle

then bring sides together and fill.

I did sew a signature of blank paper into the middle fold
using a 3 hole stab binding:  punch 3 holes - one in the center,
and two more about 1" from top and bottom
sew through middle, back through top, through the bottom
and back through the middle.
tie a knot around the center stitch
you can "google" how to do this and get pictures....

used up paper, embellishments, tags and even some extra long pony tail elastics (closures)
