Thanks to the microwave, they were ready in minutes.

But, on a not so good note, it's deja vu all over...... the only real scrapbook store in town in closing.
The owner is offering it for sale to anyone who would like to take over.  Will I be as lucky here as I was in Livonia????  Sure hope so.......

sickness hit our house........and now our goal is to keep it at our house and not send it back to Michigan with our daughter.  disinfectant wipes are in use on everything.......

The craft/dining room table is just about all cleared off and ready to be decorated.

I don't think I've ever been this prepared before!

The hard part comes now....I have to convince myself not to start anything new or at least not a lot of new projects.  I just found one today that would make the cutest class for Spring, 2018.....just saying.

I will have to double-check my list of things to do before I start.

So, if you don't hear from me for a while, know that things are good and projects are happening!

I can't believe it's been a week since the last post.
well, nothing too much to report...I have been working on a few projects for a small trunk show in November.  Pictures to come soon, I hope.

Halloween is usually my favorite time of year but this year I've been seeing too many creepy, scary things and not enough fun.  It's been a turn-off for me😞😞😞

I just wanted to let you know the October Sketches and Scraps online class will be ready soon!!  Kits will be available, too.

I used the Amber Moon paper by Prima for the Sketches and a very old set of papers by Santoro for the Scraps.  

The online class is $8 (paper dimensions, directions, photos, hints for 8 cards).

Kits (include all papers cut to size, embellishments and photos for 4 cards) are $8.50.  These are in a very limited supply so if you are interested, let me know asap!

I have also been finishing up the details for classes at Scrappy Chic in November.

Information on these will be posted here and on their website very soon.

If you are interested, save the dates!  Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25. 

I hope to have another little "trunk show" too, with journals, ornaments, and more for purchase.

I actually stamped it it antique linen distress inks, used prima watercolors (pastels), prisma water color pencils, and prisma colored pencils.  

Time to put them all away and let it dry.......

I haven't bought a wood mounted stamp in a hundred years but this one was a MUST.....

well, today my sizzix acrylic plate just snapped as I die cut some chipboard....
and yesterday my favorite scissors seemed to have vanished.....(into the trash, which got picked up this morning, I'm afraid)

Went to Joann's this morning - nothing!  Even Jeff thought it was strange to see so many empty bins and shelves.  (and it was before my plate snapped in two, luckily I did have another one).

I did get a new Paper Trimmer.  It will work just fine.  I do wish

the 3 7/8 mark was in a different spot but I can work with it.

Onward and upward, it's the only way to go.

Classes are set at Scrappy Chic.  Sign ups are underway.

Old Dogs/New Tricks

oh no!!! it finally happened........

Many of you personally know my Fiskars Gray Cutter.  It's cut most if not all of the papers for all of my classes, kits, make-n-takes, demos........
I've even had offers from people to buy her.  Remember, she made the greatest shabby cuts.
She is, well, was over 20 years old or at least close to that.

Today I am sad to report that she is no longer with us.  I dropped her on our tile floor.  We are still looking for a few pieces.  Jeff thinks he might be able to repair her.....but blades are no longer available, haven't been for several years.  Thanks to all of you for your blade donations.....

Tomorrow we go to Michaels.  And, I will have to learn how to use a new one.
