oops!

It all started with a simple Halloween card idea.  But, it grew and grew - over 2 hours on this "simple" idea.

I finished it, signed it, put it in the envelope, addressed it, and stamped it.  Even took it to the mailbox.

Oops!!  I forgot to take a picture....

oh well, it was a card that opened to a shadowbox.  There was a spooky house, ghosts, pumpkins in all the windows.  and even some clear embossing.

You can see it right?

I thought about going back, opening it up and........nope. not gonna do it....

love this paper and a walk

This paper is so much fun!  Prima Heaven Sent 1 and 2.

I needed 2 new baby cards and just started layering pieces.

a little fussy cutting around little images,

some ribbon and glitter.  They' re ready to go in the mail!

And whe you may find on a neighborhood walk....

they're tall and all balanced.  Nothing is holding them together but gravity....

I watched the creator for while.  it takes a long time for him to work.

There must be 6 or 7 in the lot and they remain for days - untouched.

On a fun note...people started noticing little orange jack-o-lanterns on their fences, porches, cacti.
someone painted 31 rocks and put them all over the neighborhood.  it has been the talk of the block for weeks.....nope, wasn't us but we got one on our fence.
a little bit of fun and happiness!

and watching the Osiriux Rex landing/take off yesterday was very exciting. the scientists were so funny to watch.  what an amazing fete!
finally something good to watch.

world card making day!

 It's World Card Making Day!!

Get out of your slump (if you are) and make a card.  Better yet, make one and send it to someone.

You'll feel better and you will brighten someone's day.

What?? October???Already??

 from this ......

to this...

a little downsizing my wood mount rubber stamps.  I was surprised at the amount these photo boxes
held.  And, I didn't throw away any - yet.
We have a dumpster in the yard for the next 10 days so I may downsize even more.

And here is the next little Halloween Feltie.  Once all four are complete, I may make a banner for the front door.

The ghost is just about ready to stitch, along with the bat.
JoAnn Fabric had some great heathered felt by the sheet.  I picked up a few colors for this project and more.

I saw this little loaded pocket journal and immediately thought of Prima's Sugar Cookie papers.
How do you like it?
Very easy to make and lots of tuck spots.  The base is 2 pieces of 3 x 6 papers folded in half and attached to form a pocket.  A little fussy cutting on the cover, along with a few tags finished it off.
the 6 x 6 pad was just the right size!

I used a few of my new Poppystamp dies, too.  The flowers are from an old Prima line but they worked out nicely.  And the ribbon was some I dyed early this Spring.  I love dying seam binding to the colors I want.

Dreaming of Michigan's Autumn colors....
