monsoon skies and loving these!

We had a beautiful show of clouds last night.  No rain  but lots of thunder and lightening.

It was pretty warm but temps had dropped into the low 90's by evening.  We were able to sit outside until 10pm watching the show.

And every time I use these dies I love them even more!!  I think I rolled about 150 flowers yesterday afternoon.  The trick?  A hot glue gun -  instant hold.

And I even figured out a way to keep them separated before they go into their kits.

Pretty clever, huh?

Oh, they were made with Tim Holtz's mini rolled flower dies. Rolling tool included!

checking in.......

hello there!

not much to report....the flowers (see last post) have all been rolled and packaged.  The heart charms completed (forgot to take a picture), images stamped and colored, mica split and sized. The class kits are on their way to completion.
Yesterday I die cut more flowers and today I will be cutting more mini rolled tattered florals.  I did finish another set of Marquee Letters (still loving them!!) and today I will finish the last set before mailing them to their first destination.

We had an amazing lightening show the other night - big sheets of light across the sky.  I understand there was one in Michigan the same night.  We didn't get any rain, the storms were down toward the border, but today afternoon storms are predicted here.
We did have a few more visitors -  did you know the Desert Toad kills more dogs than rattlesnakes around here?  We have had two on our patio.  Luckily neither of us are brave enough to touch them so we used a dust pan to move them along.  Coyotes were visiting just outside our fence yesterday and so were the Javelinas.  They were actually directly in our back area feasting on prickly pear cactus.  I don't know who was more startled Jeff or the javelinas!  Both moved pretty quickly when they saw each other.

Hope your day is a good one!

playtime at 105 degrees

This is what you do when it is 105 degrees outside.......you stay inside!

I did a little die cutting for classes in August.....

and then I did a little stamping......

and I did a little water coloring.......

I put a few cards together.....(the shiny one is what happens when the top to your glossy accents bottle pops off)

and finally, I couldn't resist.......a new purchase.

I have some projects brewing with these stamps and paper.  Stop back again soon.

I wonder if shrink plastic will need a heat gun????

finished cards and more

the cards are finished and in the mail!

Tim Holtz new wildflower stamps, MFT word die, watercolor pencils and tumbled glass distress stain spatters.  I have the next group ready to color, put together and mail.

And up next is a card ( 6 x 6 when closed) I put together yesterday.

When opened, it looks like this and is 12 x 12.

Rain is in the forecast so I will be making a Winter/Christmas version this weekend.
A Halloween version sounds pretty cool, too.

And I purchased these for a wedding gift.

They should be fun to decorate!
I leave you with a Strawberry Moon over the twinkling city of Tucson on a pretty warm evening, just after sunset.

thanks for checking in today!
