slow stitching - heard of it?  me either until last week.  then I got bit.
so you wanna make something but not sure what or how much time you have...
wanna use up scraps, old pieces of family history
wanna have a theme and maybe create a collection to cherish and maybe pass on
wanna fill some "tuck spots"  a shelf, basket.....

another mask.....

give it a try!! masking.  stamped the butterfly with distress oxide gathered twigs, applied a little water and then some color using prima vintage watercolor.  dried with the heat gun. masked the image and added the stenciling and word stamps with distress oxide peeled paint...dried finished with sentiment and seam binding...added a few nuevo drops too.
once they dry this card gets sent!  less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

I went to the Dollar Tree this week - as usual, went in for one thing....came out with more.

little wooden shadow box houses...yep $1 each

little string of lights for bottles.

very nice but don't leave them on a long time....

Check out a store near you before the boats from China arrive and the stores have to close because nothing is $1 anymore or they change their name to "Two Dollar Tree Store".

these bright, very sturdy, plastic plates measure 12" across!  They came from the grocery store.  I'm thinking about adding a piece of piping and making birdbaths.

single layer cards - when was the last time you used masking techniques?  Give it a try.  Just remember to stamp the sticky end of the post - it note when you stamp the mask.  And cut 3 sheets at the same time so you have plenty to use.

And, I may have a meet up get together at Scrappy Chic one afternoon/evening while we're there.
