today's fun

these were not as easy as the others but I got it to work.
the website is in a previous post.
gonna try a basket later this week.

this technique is so easy and it looks amazing.
the colors here are not nearly as bright as in real life.
come back later for the directions.

and the finished product.
I painted the base (a tiny salt shaker)
added hot glue to the inside to hold the
button flowers
tucked in some shredded paper
finished off with some jute and a bow.

March is Craft month is winding down.  Spring is on its way -hopefully sooner that later!

this was some of the entertainment during the
Spring Street Fair this past weekend.
We have watched these kids grow up!

tiny house journal

I started with a piece of October Afternoon (yep, that old!) paper 6 x 12 and followed the directions.
See the previous blog post from March 5.
Then filled it with tags, mini folders and more, using an old Prima pad: Spring Farmhouse.
I used my cropodile, eyelets, envelope punchboard corner rounder (nice and small) and vee punch (makes nice pocket notches), ribbon and more.
Fun!!!

Back soon with another March is Craft month project!
What are you up to?

loving little journals!!

Here is a cute little journal/pocket spot..

mark the folds with dots, draw connecting lines

and cut as shown

the folding has a little trick

This was my practice piece.  Now I'm going to make another using some scrapbook paper.
Check out the you tube for folding instructions and more samples!

How much snow did you get?  Our info said about 13" but it must be melting today!
Hope March stops roaring for you and starts to Spring forward!

I do have another little one page pocket journal in the works.  Sometimes I get a little carried away with the decorating.  Oh well, I am using up the scraps and learning to throw the left overs away.

Finally a little sunny and warm here.

so easy I couldn't stop!

Ingredients:  grunge paper, scrapbook paper, index cards, copy paper, grommet, paper ring, ribbon, stickers, buttons

tools:  paper cutter, glue stick, corner rounder, cropodile, scissors, cinch

the label is from T. Holtz newer set.
inked with archival ink

I used up stuff I've had for years!!

Cut the grunge paper to the size you want. cover each side with paper and trim out,  round the corners
punch the holes, add a grommet and paper ring.  decorate the covers and you will have some very cute, little note books.

kicking February to the Road!!!

I did not have a productive month.....

But I plan to have a great March is Craft month Month!

photo heavy post :    One Sheet Wonder (4 x 6) little pocket journal.....

the little pocket pieces

a few more tuck ins

last page, with pocket

pocket page

opening page with corner pocket
middle frame with removable tag
belly band on a flip page

a pocket tab from inside
and the cover..

I one sheet of 12 x 12 for the base and completed everything with scraps from an older project.
Bo Buny paper, too.  Haven't heard too much from that company in a long time.

On a mission to create some more fun, simple and quick projects for the next month...

We are in a Winter Storm warning here:  snow, strong winds, rain and more but nothing like what has been going on in other parts of the country.
Hopefully it will be the last one of the season.
thanks for stopping by!
