snow!!

it snowed all day Friday, highly unusual for it to last so long here.  And it did stick to the ground. But it wasn't like Michigan, enough for us, though!
And the next morning.....

all the mountains were covered!  That was a beautiful sight.  But, that didn't last long with the sunshine.  Oh, this is from our front yard.  The back has a different range but looks the same - snow covered!  And, that is covered with at least 3 feet of snow.  the melt will bring on the floods.....

And this is how I kept myself busy..

ATC cards for a group I attend.  theme:  Quotes.
Mindy Lacefield stamp, rubbermoon stamp and Prima watercolors on Mixed media paper

It will be interesting to see how they are received.

new things

I saw a project, had all the supplies and am getting ready....

From yesterday

started out like this

ended like this

close up

another close up

Sadly,  it all ended up in the trash.  Sometimes things start out all right but end all wrong.
Yupo paper, alcohol inks and some punches, black paint, white paint, stamps, stencils, text print....
more black paint, white paint
Luckily, the work table was cleaned and the final project

mini accordion album

working on a little accordion album today... pages measure 3 x 4.

both sides open and the pages kind of mirror each other.   I used paper scraps and didn't have enough to match exactly.  that's okay.
Next up - covers, closures, and pocket fillers.  Oh, and a little "jazzing up" of the pages, too.

Authentique:  Frontier.....love the papers.

fabric and felt

this is what I've been playing with and lost track of time......

sometimes you see something and have to drop everything and make one....especially when you have all the supplies!

and the felt bug bit me again.....hoping to finish them in time.  They don't look like much now but some stitches and buttons will dress them up!

and it only took about 2 1/2 hours and 2 mock ups to figure this "wiper" card out.....

Pull out the sides and the little doggy pops up.  We happen to know a little guy who loves dogs!!
This is his Valentine!

oh, and they fit very nicely right next to each other.

got the machine and all this for $25 more than the machine itself.  And shipping was cheaper too.

Glad to see the tempurature is rising for you!
